You’ve decided to sell your home and need to freshen things up a bit. Paint is the most economical way to do that. Here are my 10 favorite Sherwin Williams paint colors that are neutral and will appeal to the most buyers.
WARNING! Not every paint color looks good in every room. There are a few factors to consider when choosing paint.
Consider this first:
- The lighting. Windows and bulbs change the color of paint during the course of the day.
- Consider flooring, counter tops and trim color before choosing. Do they have cool tones or warm?
- Don’t forget the cabinets and/or shelving. They take up a large portion of the room.
- Ceilings. Most are white but need a fresh coat as well. Don’t let the cool white look dingy because you chose the wrong color for the walls.
- If choosing paint color seems overwhelming or aren’t confident in doing so, call a professional. You don’t want to make a mistake and waste time and money repainting!

Once you’ve decided on a couple that might work, purchase small samples and paint it on the wall or on a large piece of cardboard. You need to check it in the morning, afternoon and evening. You also need to check it in the shadows, in the bright areas and next to trim, doors and cabinetry.
IT ALL MAKES A DIFFERENCE!
